Grandview UMC provides the opportunity to reach out to the community with a number of activities. Monies to support these essential programs come from a craft bazaar, bake sale, bowl-a thons, and community dinners.

ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

This event provides fun for the younger set in closely supervised activities. Children from the neighborhood have come to look forward to the day, knowing that no one will go home empty handed. The church provides not only candy, but toys and games as well.

OPEN-M

Grandview is committed to helping with the inner city ministry of Open-M in Akron. We support the work of this organization by contributions of food, serving lunches in summer, and meeting other specific needed items.

GOOD NEIGHBORS

Our church responds to the needs of others by contributing food and clothing items on an ongoing basis. We have supported their annual school supply drive in the fall. We have helped with donations of gifts for families in need at Christmas.

We collect non-perishable food items the first Sunday of the month during the children's message.  We also have collection boxes for food and clothing that can be dropped off at any time.

MOTHERS OF TWINS

This group uses the facilities in our church the first Thursday of the month from Sept to June at 7:00 pm for meetings and special get-togethers.  For the June and September meetings, they meet at 6:30 and have a covered dish dinner.
