Handbell Choir Notes

The Grandview Handbell Choir rings 3 octaves of Schulmerich bells, and 3 octaves of Schulmerich chimes.  The Bell Choir rings once a month during church service and, of course, Christmas Eve, Easter, and other special events.  We also take our show on the road from time to time, playing for local nursing homes, meetings, church events, weddings, etc.  Wherever we play, we have a lot of fun and, to date, no one has thrown any rotten fruit at us!!

Please consider becoming a member of the Bell Choir!  An ideal number of ringers for us would be 11, although we can make do with 8 or 9.  We play easy- to medium-difficult music, and practice for about an hour and half per week.  Practices are held Mondays at 7:15 P. M. at the church.   The ability to read music is a plus, but not absolutely necessary if you can think quick on your feet.  Our first practice for the Fall season will be September 8, 2008.

If you should have any questions or if you would like to try your hand at handbells in private, please let me know!  You can't say you CAN'T do something until you TRY!
