On Palm Sunday we celebrate Jesus' welcome into Jerusalem. We challenge all churches, homes, and groups to layout your own welcome road on your front walk, driveway, sidewalk, or hallway if in an apartment or large city. Use your version of palms along with robes and coats. Measure how long your road is and send the measurement along with a picture of it to us.
Join us for Maundy Thursday Service at 7:00 p.m. live on Facebook, our Church Youtube Channel, (search Grandview United Methodist Church) and by church Phone Conferencr Call.
Why is Maundy Thursday the name for the night before Jesus' arrest? The English word “Maundy” comes from the Latin mandatum, which means “commandment.” In John 13:34, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and then gave them a new commandment to love one another as he had loved them This is why services on this night generally include the washing of feet or other acts of physical care as part of the celebration.

Passion on the Porch is a self guided where you can experience the stations that depict the final day's of Christ's life.. It will be set up under the front portico of the church the evening before good Friday, so you can come reflect as early as your morning dog walk or quiet time. Visit us at the corner of 23rd and Phelps during your daily walk. This Experience is open to all. We ask that you wait patiently if another group is going through the stations or perhaps take another go around the block to observe best distancing practices.
