Service Description
Club Name: Voices Rising: Young Writers Club Young Writers Club – Course Description Over six weeks, students in grades 1–8 will explore the joy of creative expression through poetry, short stories, and personal narrative. This writing club is designed to give young authors the freedom and permission to use their own voice—celebrating imagination, lived experiences, and the stories only they can tell. Each session blends guided instruction with open writing time, allowing students to experiment with language, develop original ideas, and pair their writing with artwork when inspired. By the end of the program, every child will have created a collection of original pieces that reflect their creativity, confidence, and growing skill as writers. Impact on the Child This club nurtures more than writing ability—it strengthens selfexpression, builds confidence, and helps children discover the power of their own perspective. Students learn to trust their ideas, articulate their thoughts, and share their work in a supportive, encouraging environment. Through storytelling and art, they develop communication skills, emotional awareness, and a sense of pride in their unique voice. Most importantly, they leave knowing that their stories matter.
